Solution: Dry Your Samsung Phone

Gently clean your Samsung phone with a soft and dry cloth. You have to make sure your phone is completely dry. If the phone isn’t dry, it will give you an alert to disconnect, when you connect your phone with the charger to charge it.

  1. If this happens, you can speed up the drying by pointing a fan or dryer (cool air only) toward the charging port, so that the air evaporates the moisture completely.
  2. You can make a narrow swab using cotton or thin cotton cloth and a toothpick made of plastic/wood. Now take that swab and gently wipe the phone’s charging port.
  3. Submerge your moist Samsung Galaxy phone in dry rice overnight but if your phone got wet in seawater don’t put it in rice because salty water gets sticky and will not be that effective. If you can get a bag of silica gel which can submerge your phone that will work more effectively than rice. Silica gel will absorb moisture quickly and effectively in comparison to rice.
