Solution 1- Reboot the Android Device

A simple update might fix the issue on Gboard. Go to Play store in search box type Gboard, click on update and update the Gboard App. After update use Gboard and it should work fine. Solution 3- Clear Gboard App data and clear cache
Tried the two-solution mentioned above yet if Goboard issue not fixed? Go ahead and clear Gboard Apps cache, clearing the App cache fixes major issues I the Apps. Yet if issue is still there, delete Apps data but remember deleting Apps data will remove all the settings of the apps but will fix the issue.
To clear Gboard cache go to Android devices Settings scroll and open Apps. In Apps find Gboard tap and select it. Then click on Storage and tap on Clear Cache. Same way you can clear Apps data too, just tap on clear data. Check images provided below for reference.
Solution 4- Uninstall update and install older version of Gboard
Often after an update sometimes an App can show some issues. It can be due to some bugs that gets fixed later in when the developer realizes it and fixes it. Meanwhile if your Gboard was working fine before update you can simply remove the update and use the App it should work fine.
To remove update, go to Android devices Settings scroll and open Apps. In Apps find Gboard tap and select it. Now when you select Gboard on next screen tap on the three-dot menu shown on the upper right side of your screen. Solution 6- Factory Reset
